Lean-to Greenhouses
The American Classic greenhouse comes in more forms than just the freestanding outbuilding. In fact, one of the most popular versions of the American Classic is the lean to greenhouse. The American Classic lean-to greenhouse differs from the standard American Classic because it shares a wall with the home or other building against which it is built. These lean-to greenhouses are built to merge seamlessly with the building they’re attached to. We can match the color and style of the building, or simply leave it as a glass and metal frame, whichever suits your design the best.

Lean-to Design
Lean-to greenhouses typically take up less space than a free-standing greenhouses, making them an excellent space-saver. Of course, their depth can be adjusted, so they are not limited to a small footprint. Since they incorporate a solid wall, lean-to’s are able to provide a more consistent temperature than stand-alone structures, with the solid wall acting as a heat sink during the day, and releasing radiant heat overnight. Lean-to greenhouses can be built with either a perimeter beam or foundation, and are able to incorporate a stem wall (also called a knee wall) in conjunction with the foundation.
